We resume our episode this week in the Ahpla University cafeteria, where Joriah is seated by himself. He looks up to see Laci and Sydney walking by.
Joriah: What's up ladies! A Diva and a pretty girl!
Laci and Sydney walk over to where Joriah is seated.
Sydney: What's up Joriah.
Laci: Hey Joriah......
Joriah: So what are you pretty ladies up to?
Sydney: Just finished lunch. Wish I could stay and chat but I gotta get to my weekly meeting with Dr. Ferguson.
Joriah: Oh alright, that's cool.
Laci looks over at Sydney.
Laci: Okay girl well I'm gonna stay for a bit. I'll catch up with ya later.
Sydney: Alright. See ya'll later.
Sydney turns and heads towards the door.
Laci (pointing towards an empty seat): So is anybody sittin' here?
Joriah: Nah...it's just me........all by myself.
Laci: Aww.....why you sound so sad?
Joriah: Nothin'.
Laci: You still upset about Denitra?
Joriah: Um. Yeah, somethin' like that.
Laci: She still not talkin' to you?
Joriah: Nah.
Laci: Well did you try to?
Joriah (cutting Laci off): You know, I don't really wanna talk about it right now.
Laci: That's cool. So what do you want to talk about?
Joriah: Whateva. How your classes goin' so far?
Laci: Um, pretty good. Ethics is kickin' my butt, though.
Joriah: Oh word? Who you got?
Laci: Dr. Scott.
Joriah: Oh yeah, he's pretty tough.
Laci: You took his class?
Joriah: Yeah I took it last year. I got a B so if you ever need some help, holla at me.
Laci: Thanks, Joriah! So how are things goin' for you?
Joriah: Okay, I guess.....
Laci: Are the nupes coachin' a team for the diversity step?
Joriah: And you know it! They gonna win, too!
Laci: Whatever! Team Delta is gonna win!
Laci and Joriah laugh together and they are interrupted by Denitra's friend, Karissa.
Karissa: What's up Jo-ri-ah.
Joriah: Karissa.
Karissa looks Laci up and down and keeps walking..
Joriah: Great. Now she's gonna go back and tell Denitra.
Laci: Tell her what? We're not doin' anything wrong.
Joriah: Yeah I know but I'm sure ol' big mouth will make it seem like more than it was.
Laci: Aww, you really miss Denitra, don't you?
Joriah: Yeah, I do. That's my heart. I never meant to hurt her.
Laci: I understand. You wanna go somewhere private where we can talk more?
Joriah: Uh.....I don't know......well.......yeah, that might be nice.
Laci: Cool. Let's go back to my room. My roommate doesn't get back from class for a few hours.
Joriah and Laci get up from the table and head out of the cafeteria, as Karissa watches from the other side of the room, picking up her cell phone to make a phone call......
Karissa: Hey Nitra. Girl, you are not going to believe what I just saw!

.Across campus, Kyle and Stasha are in Kyle's room studying for a test.
Stasha: Okay baby, what is the definition of transference?
Kyle: Uh.......
Stasha: Come on sweetie! You know this!
Kyle: I need a study break.
Stasha: A break? But we just got started!
Kyle: Yeah, I know.
Stasha: Baby, what's wrong? You seem kinda distracted.
Kyle: I just got a lot on my mind right now.
Stasha: What is it? The team?
Kyle: Yeah, a lil bit. Between football, classes, and the frat. Plus, you know we're coaching a team for the Diversity Step Show. And we gotta get a lot of stuff together between now and homecoming. All of the old head bruh's are comin' back so we gotta make sure our stuff is tight when they get here. And Jeff. He just pisses me off. I can't believe this dude go the nerve to be dating my cousin.
Stasha: Aww, but Tee seems really happy.
Kyle: He don't like her for real. She's so dumb. Can't she see he just messin' with her to get to me?
Stasha: Kyle that is crazy!
Kyle: It's true. You don't understand how men think.
Stasha: Well I guess I don't then cause that just seems crazy to me, Kyle.
Kyle: So uh......I was thinkin' that maybe you wanted to spend the weekend over here.
Stasha: What?
Kyle: Spend the weekend. Armani is goin' out of town after the game on Saturday so we'd have the room to ourselves.....
Stasha: Oh. Um. Well, I'm not really sure.
Kyle: Not sure about what?
Stasha: About staying over, Kyle. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. I mean I know if I stay, you're gonna want more than just cuddling and well.....
Kyle leans forward and takes Stasha by the hand and looks into her eyes.
Kyle: Stasha, you know I love you, right?
Stasha: Yeah.
Kyle: And you love me, right?
Stasha: Yeah.
Kyle: So what's the problem? Baby, you know I'm plannin' to marry you. Just as soon as I get drafted to a pro team, I'm gonna make you my wife.
Stasha: I know, Kyle but......
Kyle: Just think about it, okay? I mean........is it wrong for me to want to feel closer to you?
Stasha: No, of course not.
Kyle: Don't you want to feel closer to me?
Stasha: Yeah, I do.......
Kyle: Well then....it's settled. Saturday after the game, you can just come back to my room and we can plan to spend the rest of the weekend here, okay?
Stasha (reluctantly): Okay..

Off campus, Taylor has just gotten into the car with DeVaughn to ride back to campus.
Taylor: Thanks for the ride, DeVaughn.
DeVaughn: Oh no problem, girl. It's rainin'! What you doin' out here so late?
Taylor: I came for the NPHC meetin'.
DeVaughn: Oh yeah......I heard Jovan talkin' about that. I'm sayin'.....how did you get to the diner? Did you walk?
Taylor: No, I had a ride.
DeVaughn: Okay....
Taylor: Can we not talk about it?
DeVaughn: Excuse me.....
Taylor: I'm sorry, DeVaughn. I don't mean to snap at you but I am pissed right now.
DeVaughn: I can see that. Who got you so upset?
Taylor: Kashawn.
DeVaughn: The Iota?
Taylor: Yeah.
DeVaughn: He say somethin' flip to you?
Taylor: No. Look, I don't really want to get into it right now. As a matter of fact, I don't really want to get into anything with you right now.
DeVaughn: What is that supposed to mean?
Taylor: It means what I said, DeVaughn. Once I transferred here from Amgis, you were quick to take me to your room. And as soon as you got what you wanted, you ain't have no time for me.
DeVaughn: I ain't have no time for you? Taylor, you knew what the deal was from the jump. I ain't never been no relationship type of guy and I thought I made that clear when we met. You seemed down for that. We were just havin' fun and then all of a sudden, you tried to flip it.
Taylor: Who was asking for a relationship?
DeVaughn: Then what the heck are you all upset about?
Taylor: I'm upset because once you were done with me, you acted like you ain't even know me. You don't have to be my man to speak, DeVaughn. But why should I be surprised? All of you are just the same!
DeVaughn: All of you? Who is all of you? Black people?
Taylor (getting loud): What? Who said anything about Black people? All of you as in all of you men! You're all the same! Cowards!
DeVaughn: You know what, Taylor? I was tryin' to be nice by pickin' you up back there.
Taylor: Yeah, and?
DeVaughn: Yeah and now, I'll know not to be so nice next time!
Silence
Taylor: DeVaughn?
DeVaughn: What?
Taylor: I apologize. You are right. I'm just pissed at Kashawn and takin' it out on you. Apology accepted?
DeVaughn: Yeah......apology accepted. Now are you gonna tell me what happened to get you so upset? I at least deserve that much.
Taylor: Well......I really shouldn't. I mean.......I don't want it to get all over campus.
DeVaughn: Alright. But if you need to talk, you know where to find me.
DeVaughn pulls up to Taylor's dorm.
Taylor: Thanks, DeVaughn. I really appreciate that. What I really need more than talking right now is some company. I really don't want to be alone. You wanna come up for a lil bit?
DeVaughn: That depends. What kind of company you lookin' for?
Taylor: Well..........I don't know.......I mean.......I don't really feel too much like talkin' right now.
DeVaughn (smiling): Oh yeah? Well I don't really feel too much like talkin' either.
DeVaughn parks his car and runs over and grabs Taylor by the hand. Taylor leads him to her front door when they hear a car speeding into her parking lot. Taylor and DeVaughn both turn around to find Kashawn, who is now running over towards them.
Kashawn: Taylor! Taylor! Baby, wait! Why did you run off like that?
DeVaughn steps out from behind the door.
Kashawn: DeVaughn? What are you doin' here? And.....are you on your way up to Taylor's room?
DeVaughn smiles, not saying a word.
Kashawn looks over at Taylor.
Kashawn: Taylor? What's goin' on?
