We resume our episode this week over at the campus chapel, the student ministry association is finishing up their weekly bible study.
Marcellus: Well…..that about sums it up for this week. Does anyone have any questions?
Silence
Marcellus: Okay, then….so let’s all pair up with our prayer partners and close out in prayer......and I’ll see everyone next week.
Marcellus looks around and realizes his partner isn’t there so he says a silent prayer to himself and then begins packing up his things. He looks around and realizes that everyone has started to leave, except there is one person still sitting and has a look of distress. Marcellus walks over to where she is seated.
Marcellus: Excuse me?
Tierra: Yes
Marcellus: I couldn’t help but notice that everyone was leaving and you were still sitting. Is everything okay?
Tierra looks up and bursts into tears.
Tierra: No!
Marcellus: Oh my goodness! What’s wrong?
Tierra: A lot. I just….I have a lot of problems and I feel like I don’t have anyone to talk to. I feel like no one understands.
Marcellus: Well I know you don’t know me….but if you want…..you can talk to me about it. Maybe I can pray with you afterwards.
Tierra: I don’t know. This was my first time coming to the bible study. I….I thought if I came here….I would find an answer to what I was looking for.
Marcellus: And what is that?
Tierra: What is what?
Marcellus laughs
Marcellus: What you’re looking for.....what is it that you are looking for?
Tierra: Answers, I guess….
Marcellus: Listen….I haven’t eaten dinner. What about you?
Tierra: No.
Marcellus: Why don’t we go somewhere off campus and grab something to eat and talk a bit? I would like to help you if you’d let me. I’m Marcellus, by the way.
Tierra: Thanks. I’m Tierra.
Marcellus: So what do you say, Tierra? You wanna go somewhere quiet where we can talk?

Over at the apartment of Sheena and Natalie, the ladies of Delta Sigma Theta have gathered for a meeting.
Natalie: Hi sorors! Fix yourselves a plate before we get started.
Sheena: You don’t have to tell me twice!
Natalie: Yeah, I know….
Sheena: Oooh that was harsh!
Laci: I can’t believe you cooked.
Natalie: Why? I love to cook!
Laci: Since when?
Natalie starts to laugh. The doorbell rings and Sheena walks over to open the door.
Taylor: Hey sorors!
Natalie and Sheena: Hey Taylor.
Laci: Hey.
Taylor walks in smiling from ear to ear.
Sheena: Taylor, you seem to be in a good mood today.
Taylor: I’m always in a good mood when it comes to the work of Delta Sigma Theta….
Natalie bursts out laughing.
Taylor: Okay, okay I guess that was a little corny.
Laci: Sorors, excuse me for a second. I’m going to use the restroom.
Natalie: Okay and when you get back, we can go ahead and get started.
Laci leaves the room and Taylor walks over and begins to fix a plate.
Sheena: Seriously, Taylor….what are you so happy about?
Taylor looks around to see if Laci is within earshot.
Taylor: Well….I’ll tell you but you can’t say a word. It’s top secret for now!
Natalie: Oh this sounds good! Spill it!
Taylor: Well……..Kashawn and I are back together! Isn't that amazing?

Scene 1 Continued...
Off campus, Tierra and Marcellus are enjoying a quiet dinner at a pizza place.
Tierra: I’ve never been here.
Marcellus: It’s good, right? I don’t think a lot of people on campus know about it.
Tierra: Keeping it a secret, huh?
Marcellus: Well you know…it’s a good place to come for some quiet time.
Tierra: Yeah, I bet.
Marcellus: So what year are you? I know we haven’t met but you look so familiar to me.
Tierra: Did you come to the AKA probate?
Marcellus: Which one?
Tierra frowns
Marcellus: I’m sorry. Yes, I did, why?
Tierra: I’m one of the new sorors!
Marcellus: Oh wow! Congrats! I didn’t even recognize you.
Tierra: Thanks!
Marcellus: I’m a Sigma.
Tierra: I know.
Marcellus: You know?
Tierra: Of course I know. I had to learn all the Greeks when I was on line.
Marcellus: Oh yeah…that’s true….
Tierra: That’s part of what’s goin’ on with me.
Marcellus: Oh yeah? Greek life gettin to you already?
Tierra: No it’s just…..you know what….I don’t really want to talk about it just yet.
Marcellus: That’s cool. Well whenever you want to talk, I’m here, okay?
Tierra: Thanks.
Marcellus: So let me ask you, Miss Tierra…..are you seeing anyone?

At the home of Valerie Edwards, she has just sat down to have dinner with her old friend, Melinda Ferguson on the back porch. For awhile, they sit and eat in complete silence.
Melinda: Are we just going to eat in silence?
Valerie: Well, are you ready to talk?
Melinda: You’re the one who told me to drive up here.
Valerie: Fine. I’ll talk. You may not like what I have to say, but I’ll talk.
Melinda: Well?
Valerie: I’m angry with you, Melinda. I’m furious, in fact!
Melinda: I don’t understand. Why are you angry with me about something that I didn’t even know about? I was just as surprised as you were to find out about it!
Valerie: Yeah, but you know what, Linda? This all goes back to the fact that you don’t know how to control your girls. You never have, Linda. I’ve been telling you that for years. You know I love Mona…she’s my god daughter, but you have got to do something about her, Melinda.
Melinda: Do what? She’s a grown woman!
Valerie: She’s a grown woman who acts like a child!
Melinda: Did you ask me up here to scream about me about how I raise my daughter? I thought you wanted to have a civilized conversation!
Valerie: Well I did! But I guess that would require you pretending to be civilized!
Melinda gasps
Melinda: Take that back!
Valerie: You know what……let’s just take a minute and talk about something else because this conversation is getting a little too heated.
Melinda: Well I might as well tell you now. You won’t like this one either….
Valerie: Wait. Do I need to refill my wine glass first?
Melinda: You might….
Valerie: Uh oh. What is it?
Melinda: Joe and I are talking again….

Taylor looks around to see if Laci is within earshot.
Taylor: Well….I’ll tell you but you can’t say a word. It’s top secret for now!
Natalie: Oh this sounds good! Spill it!
Taylor: Well……..Kashawn and I are back together!
Sheena: What?
Taylor (gushing): Yes! It happened at the Alpha party. We talked…and…..oh my gosh, I love him so much and he loves me and I knew he wasn’t over it. We’re finally back together.
Natalie: Um……I thought he was dating Laci?
Taylor: Well he was….but that was until he realized he really wanted to be with me.
Natalie: Wow. Well that’s great, soror…I’m really happy for you.
Sheena: Laci is gonna be hurt.
Taylor: Laci shouldn’t have been trying to mess around with my man in the first place.
Natalie looks over at Sheena and rolls her eyes.
Sheena: Has he told her yet?
Taylor: No he hasn’t….which is why you can’t say anyt…
Laci comes back into the room.
Laci: Alright sorors, I’m back! Can we try to make this meeting a quick one? I have a test I need to study for.
Laci looks around at everyone’s face.
Laci: What’s goin’ on?
Natalie: Nothing.
Sheena: Nothing.
Taylor looks down at the table and doesn’t say a word.
Laci: Okay, really sorors. What’s goin’ on? I could hear you guys talkin’ from the bathroom and now all of a sudden I come into the room and the conversation stops? Something is up….and I want to know what it is…

Scene 3 Continued...
Melinda: Well I might as well tell you now. You won’t like this one either….
Valerie: Wait. Do I need to refill my wine glass first?
Melinda: You might….
Valerie: Uh oh. What is it?
Melinda: Joe and I are talking again….
Valerie: You’re back together?
Melinda: I did not say we were back together. I just said we’re talking again.
Valerie: Talking again? There is no such thing as just talking again for you and Joe.
Melinda (sighs): Like I said, Val….we’re just talking again.
Valerie: And how did this happen?
Melinda: I don’t know…..he called one day….actually the day we had the fight….and I don’t know…I guess I just needed someone to talk to and, well….he was there.
Valerie: And what else was he there for?
Melinda: Excuse me? Things are not physical, Val. We’ve really only been talking. He did ask me to go away with him for a few months…..
Valerie: What? What did you say?
Melinda: Well actually, I said yes…but…then….
(DING DONG)
Valerie looks over at Melinda with a confused expression.
Valerie: Who in the world is that…….
Melinda: You not expecting anybody?
Valerie: Nope.
Valerie gets up and walks towards the front door.
(DING DONG)
Valerie (yelling): I’m coming!
Valerie walks over and opens the door and immediately a surprised expression comes across her face.
Valerie: Hi…uh…….what are you doing here?
Carsen: Now is that any way to greet your soror?
