We resume our episode this week
Kiaterria: What do you mean? You can't tell the coach about Kyle! This is private.
Jeff: Tee....I'm the team captain and if one of my players health is in jeopardy, it's my responsibility to protect him.....
Kiaterria: Are you serious?
Jeff: Yes, I am. I am the team captain and I take that role very seriously.
Kiaterria: Yeah, but you’re also my boyfriend and I thought you took that role very seriously, too!
Jeff: What does me being your boyfriend have to do with anything?
Kiaterria: It has a lot to do with it. This is private family business that I trusted you with! And you promised me you wouldn’t say anything!
Jeff: Whoa…first of all…I didn’t promise anything. I did say I wouldn’t say anything, but that was before I knew what it was. Are you even thinking about the position you’ve put me in here?
Kiaterria: Are you thinking about the position you are putting my cousin in? He hasn’t even told his mother yet!
Jeff: Well then you need to talk to him and make sure he gets his affairs in order, because before the season starts, I’m going to have to talk to the coaches. This is something they need to know. What about the team medical staff? Don’t you think they would need to know this?
Kiaterria: This is unbelievable. I swear I feel like I’m in a dream. This cannot be happening!
Jeff: Tee, I don’t understand. How did you expect me to react?
Kiaterria: I don’t know, but I can tell you I certainly wasn’t expecting this!
Jeff: Well I’m sorry to be such a disappointment to you!
Kiaterria: Me too, Jeff. Me too.
Kiaterria gets up and starts to gather her things.
Jeff: Now where are you going?
Kiaterria: I’m leaving!

Over at the apartment of Joi and Jovan, Joi has just left for a meeting with her line. Krystalyn is there, meeting with Jovan about some NPHC business.
Krystalyn: Okay, Jovan, we have got to nail down some dates for this semester for the NPHC programming. Sean’s office called me asking for dates and I didn’t have them. We need to get them in as soon as possible so that we can get them approved and also so that we can reserve our locations.
Jovan: Okay, that’s not a problem.
Krystalyn: Alright so looking over my notes, I have us down for NPHC week in two months….the 21st through the 26th.
Jovan: Yep.
Krystalyn: Are we pretty much sticking to the same schedule as we did last year?
Jovan: I’m not really sure. Man, I really wish the rest of the E-Board was here.
Krystalyn: Well we’re definitely still doing the party and the step show that Saturday, right?
Jovan: Yeah, definitely so that can be booked now.
Krystalyn: Okay.
Jovan: As far as the rest of the week, I’m just not sure. I really wanted to try some new programs this year. Attendance has dropped so much, because we’re doing the same things over and over. The only crowd we are drawing these days are people who want to pledge!
Krystalyn starts to laugh
Krystalyn: True!
Jovan: I just been tryin’ to think of some new things.
Krystalyn: I really love that!
Jovan: Love what?
Krystalyn: That you’re such a visionary. I love how you are really tryin’ to take this thing to the next level. You’re perfect in this position.
Jovan: Um….thanks….
Krystalyn: And you’re so great with Zion. Joi is so lucky to have you…..I mean….not too many men would be willing to play dad to another man’s baby….

Scene 1 Continued..
Kiaterria gets up and starts to gather her things.
Jeff: Now where are you going?
Kiaterria: I’m leaving!
Jeff: Leaving? Why?
Kiaterria: What do you mean, why? I can’t stay here with you! Not for even another second! I am furious!
Jeff: Tee, wait….please don’t go.
Kiaterria: Too late for that, Jeff.
Jeff: Well…wait….when am I going to see you again?
Kiaterria: Hopefully, never!
Jeff: Why are you doin’ this?
Kiaterria: Excuse me? Why am I doing this? No, Jeff….I think you need to ask yourself that question. I can’t believe you’d be willing to sacrifice our relationship over this.
Jeff: Whoa…whoa….sacrifice our relationship? Tee, what…what are you saying?
Kiaterria: I’m saying that it’s over! I can’t be in a relationship with a man I can’t trust and you’ve just shown me that you can’t be trusted. I can’t believe this! Kyle tried to tell me about you, but I wouldn’t listen!
Jeff: Oh it’s like that now?
Kiaterria: Yeah, it’s like that.
Jeff: But I love you….
Kiaterria: Goodbye, Jeff.
Kiaterria walks out and slams the door behind her. Jeff stands there and begins to feel numb in the shock of what has just happened. He walks into his bedroom and plops down on the bed. He sits there for a few minutes, just starring at the wall before getting up and walking toward the closet. He opens the closet door and pulls out a shoe box, hidden way in the back of the closet. He opens the shoe box and pulls out a bottle of prescription pain medication….

Over in the administration building, the President’s staff is finishing up an interview with a candidate for the open Director of Career Services Position.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Well, I must say, I am very impressed with your credentials….does anyone else have any questions?
Silence
Dr. Mwatsumi: Okay, then, we will be in touch. Do you have any questions for us?
Jay: No, not at the same time.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Okay, well thank you so much for your time today.
Jay looks over at Sean and gives him a smile before getting up from the table.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Romona, could you please see Mr. Bryant out?
Romona: My pleasure, Dr. Mwatsumi.
Romona gets up and walks toward the door, with Jay following behind her. Once they have exited, Dr. Mwatsumi begins to address his staff.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Well I absolutely loved him. I think he would be a great fit for our department. Of course, I don’t want that to affect anyone’s decision. I need everyone to fill out their feedback forms and have them in Romona’s hands by close of business today, okay?
The staff all nods in agreement.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Great. Since he was the last candidate, I will be reviewing everyone’s forms and making a decision over the weekend. Alright, we’re adjourned for the day. Let’s go make this a great day at Ahpla!
The staff all begins to leave.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Sean…wait up…walk me to my office.
Sean: Okay.
Sean and Dr. Mwatsumi finish straightening up the room and begin to walk over to his office.
Dr. Mwatsumi: So, Sean…tell me…what did you think of Jay?

Scene 2 Continued...
Krystalyn: I really love that!

Krystalyn: I’m sorry….did I open my mouth too much?
Jovan: No…no it’s fine….it’s just…..
Krystalyn: I’m sorry, Jovan. I shouldn’t have said that.
Jovan: No big deal.
Silence
Jovan: Hey, I’m gonna go check on Zion real quick.
Krystalyn: Okay, no problem.
Krystalyn moves to the couch and turns on the television. A few minutes later, Jovan re-appears.
Jovan: Still sleepin’!
Krystalyn: I’m sure you love that.
Jovan: Yeah, until three a.m. when he wakes up.
Krystalyn: Aww….
Jovan: I am exhausted! This move has been so tiring!
Krystalyn: I bet! Hey…..I found a movie on TV…you wanna watch a little bit of it?
Jovan: Um, sure…I guess so.
Jovan and goes over and sits on the couch beside Krystalyn to watch the movie. As soon as he sits down, he begins to fall asleep. Krystalyn smiles at this and lays her head down in Jovan’s lap and begins to fall asleep as well…..

Scene 3 Continued..
The staff all begin to leave.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Sean…wait up…walk me to my office.
Sean: Okay.
Sean and Dr. Mwatsumi finish straightening up the room and begin to walk over to his office.
Dr. Mwatsumi: So, Sean…tell me…what did you think of Jay?
Sean: Oh uh…uh…he was great.
Dr. Mwatsumi: You seemed to hesitate a bit. Do you have some reservations? Please tell me in case you saw something that I didn’t.
Sean: No, no that’s not it. I’m just tired. It’s been a long day already and I’m actually late for a lunch appointment.
Dr. Mwatsumi: Oh, I’m sorry! Go on to your appointment. Enjoy your lunch and I’ll see you when you return.
Sean: Okay, thanks. Can I bring you something back?
Dr. Mwatsumi: No I’m good. I brought in a salad from home.
Sean: Alright. I’ll see you later on this afternoon!
Dr. Mwatsumi: Okay! Don’t forget to fill out the feedback form and get it to Romona.
Sean: I won’t.
Sean goes to his office and drops his things off. He grabs his car keys and begins to walk towards the staff parking lot when his cell phone rings.
Sean: Hey you….I’m on my way now. Sorry I’m late….by the way, you killed it at your interview this morning!
Jay: Thanks. You think so?
Sean: I know so!
Jay: Cool. Hey…actually though, I was callin’ to let you know I’m not gonna be able to do lunch today.
Sean: Oh no! I was so lookin’ forward to it! I miss you!
Jay: Yeah, I know…I miss you too, love….but I can’t….the wife called…she got sick at work so I have to and pick her up….
