Season 2 - Episode 25 We resume our episode this week over at a local pizza establishment, where Tierra and Marcellus are finishing up dinner… ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Over at the apartment of Sheena and Natalie, where Taylor has just informed them that she and Kashawn have secretly gotten back together. Laci: Alright sorors, I’m back! Can we try to make this meeting a quick one? I have a test I need to study for. Laci looks around at everyone’s face. Laci: What’s goin’ on? Natalie: Nothing. Sheena: Nothing. Taylor looks down at the table and doesn’t say a word. Laci: Okay, really sorors. What’s goin’ on? I could hear you guys talkin’ from the bathroom and now all of a sudden I come into the room and the conversation stops? Something is up….and I want to know what it is… Natalie: Oh soror, you’re so paranoid! Sheena laughs nervously. Natalie: We were just wonderin’ if you were okay, cause you were takin’ so long! But now that you’re back, yes, we should definitely get started! Taylor finishes making her plate and takes a seat on the couch next to Sheena. Natalie: Okay sorors, we’re going to keep this meeting pretty informal. We all know what we’re here to talk about. Taylor: Wow….so we’re finally gonna do it, huh? Natalie: Yep! As long as we can get the approval back in time from our regional. Taylor: It’s about time we pledged a line….we definitely need some new blood in the chapter! Natalie: I agree. We’re all going to be graduating next year, so it’s time to bring in some new sorors and make sure that the legacy of this chapter continues after we’re gone. So far, we’ve gotten quite a bit of interests from the campus. Sheena, talk to us about some of the potential pledges…. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 1 Continued... As Marcellus arrives home, he finds his roommate, Patrick and his frat brother Donnell playing a video game. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ We rejoin Valerie and Melinda, who are just finishing up dinner at Valerie’s home, when the doorbell rings. Valerie (yelling): I’m coming! Valerie walks over and opens the door and immediately a surprised expression comes across her face. Valerie: Hi…uh…….what are you doing here? Carsen: Now is that any way to greet your soror? ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 2 Continued... Natalie: I agree. We’re all going to be graduating next year, so it’s time to bring in some new sorors and make sure that the legacy of this chapter continues after we’re gone. So far, we’ve gotten quite a bit of interests from the campus. Sheena, talk to us about some of the potential pledges…. Sheena: Well I’ve had a few people talk to me, but no one I’m overly impressed with. Laci: Yeah, same thing here. Natalie: Well that’s okay. Who knows who will show up at the Rush. Taylor: Good point. What is the date for that? I need to get it on my calendar. Laci: Why? Is your social calendar full now? Taylor looks up slowly and smiles at Laci. Taylor: Well yes, soror. Now that you mention it, my social calendar has actually gotten a little full here lately. Laci: Oh well uh….yes, I’ll need to know the date as well. Taylor: Oh I’m sure you’ll be available…. Laci: What’s that? Natalie glares at Taylor. Taylor: Nothing. Go on, soror. I’m sorry…. Sheena: Well right now, we’re still workin’ on the date. Once we get approval to do the process, then we’ll go forward with settin’ up a date, but you know how quickly these things can happen, so just try to be available as much as possible, sorors. Sheena looks over at Taylor. Natalie: Okay, well I guess at this point there isn’t much we can do until we hear something back from our advisor. Sheena: Oh that’s right….I knew there was something I did want to talk about. My mom brought up a potential pledge that she wanted me to share with you all….. Natalie: Oh. Okay, great. Who is it, Soror Sheena? Sheena: Lashanda. Laci: What! The fake AKA? Sheena: Yep. That’s the one….. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 3 Continued... Back at the home of Valerie Edwards, her and Melinda have resumed sitting outside on the back porch. Carsen has now joined them. They are currently just sitting there in silence.
