Season 2 - Episode 26 We resume our episode this week at Jovan and Joi's apartment, where Jovan has just returned from checking on Zion. Jovan: Still sleepin’! A few hours later, the front door opens and Joi walks in. Joi: What is goin' on here? Silence Joi slams the door, which scares both Jovan and Krystalyn awake. Joi: I said....what...is goin' on here! Jovan, still half asleep and confused begins to look around in surprise. Jovan: What? Hey baby...welcome home... Joi: Hey baby? Welcome home? I come home and find another woman asleep in your lap and all you can say to me is hey baby...welcome home? Jovan: Huh? Jovan looks and sees that Krystalyn is waking up as well. Jovan: I...I...I don't know what....I guess we fell asleep...baby, nothing was going on....you have to believe me. Joi: Oh something was going on and I want to know exactly what! Krystalyn: I...I..I should go..... Joi: Yeah, you should. Krystalyn gets up and starts to gather her things. Once she puts on her shoes, she hurries out of the apartment. Jovan: Joi...Joi honey, come on.... Joi: Come on what? I walk in here and find you and Krystalyn in the dark asleep and you expect me to believe that nothing happened? Yeah right. I wanna know what is going on right now! ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Over at Mona's apartment, she is preparing her table for her dinner guest, when her doorbell rings. Mona: Hey girl...come on in.... Mona moves to the side to let her guest walk in the door. Romona: Hey girl! Wow smells good in here. Mona: Don't get excited. You know I don't cook. It's takeout! Romona: Whatever! It's food. Romona sits down at the table and begins to spoon food onto her plate. Romona: I miss you around the office! Mona: I know. I miss you all too. So what's new around there? Romona: Nothin' much. Same ol' same ol'. Mona: And what has that dirty Dr. M been up to? Romona: Still tryin' to sabotage your mother, of course. Mona: Of course.... Romona: Oh...I know what I meant to tell you....we interviewed someone last week that I think he's going to hire. Mona: Really? Anyone I know? Romona: I don't think so. He's new to the area, it seems. His first name was Jay....I can't remember his last name, though.... Mona: Jay, huh? Hmm.... Romona: When I get the rest of his info, I'll let you know. Mona: Yes, please do. You think he knew Dr. M already? Romona: I'm not sure. Not as far as I can tell. Although....he did seem to know Sean.... ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 1 Continued... Jovan: Joi...Joi honey, come on.... Joi: Come on what? I walk in here and find you and Krystalyn in the dark asleep and you expect me to believe that nothing happened? Yeah right. I wanna know what is going on right now! Jovan: Joi, listen to me...nothing happened! Joi: Oh yeah right! Jovan: Joi, I can't believe you are coming in here with this crap. From the other room, Zion starts to cry. Joi: Oh great! Jovan: Yeah, oh great is right! You're the one coming in here screaming about nothin' and wakin' him up! Joi runs to the other room to calm Zion down. Jovan gets up and goes to the refrigerator to get a bottle of water. Joi returns a few minutes later. Jovan: Oh I see you've returned for round two. Joi: I'm sorry. Jovan: Oh now you're sorry? You come in here screamin' like a lunatic and now you're sorry? Joi: Why are you so pissed? Jovan: I'm pissed because you had no right to accuse me of anything. Joi: I had no right? Jovan: No you didn't! Joi: I come in here in the middle of the night and it's dark and some woman is laid out in your lap and I have no right to be upset? Jovan: Some woman? It was Krystalyn, Joi! Your soon to be soror! I see being on line has taught you nothin about trusting your sisters. Joi: That's unfair. Jovan: No, what's unfair is you comin' in here accusing me of cheatin' when I've never done anything to deserve that. If I recall, I'm not the one who has the track record of cheatin' here! Joi gasps Joi: Take that back! Jovan: Whatever. I'm out of here. Jovan grabs his jacket and heads toward the door. Joi: Where are you goin'? Jovan: Out. Don't wait up. Once in the parking lot, Jovan picks up his cell phone and dials a number... Jovan: Hey....you home? You mind if I come over? ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Over at the Omega House, the brothers of Omega Psi Phi have gathered to hang out before Kyle leaves for the rest of the semester. Armani: Dawg! You can't leave! Not before the Purple Panty Party! Kyle: Trust me, it's not by choice! Armani: I know! But it won't be the same without you, dawg. Kyle: Well maybe I can sneak back for that weekend. Sherrod: You better! Armani: Yeah, you definitely got to. You can't leave me with this fool....you know Sydney don't let him do anything. Sherrod: Oh please! I told you who was runnin' thangs! Kyle: Yeah, this sucks, man. It's gonna push my graduation date back and everything. Armani: At least you'll get to be on the yard a little bit longer. Sherrod: What your mom say? Kyle: Nothin' really. She wasn't happy but it's nothing she could do about it. Sherrod: Yeah, I hear you. Armani: You know I'm gonna hold you down on the team. Kyle: Thanks, man. Coach is pissed. He thinks I'm gonna let myself get all out of shape while I'm gone. Armani: Yeah, man. Make sure you stay in that gym. Kyle: No doubt. The doorbell rings... Armani: You expectin' anybody else to come through? Kyle:Nah...oh it might be Tee. She said she was gonna stop by to see me before I left. Armani: Oh okay. I hope it is your fine cousin... Kyle gets up to get the door. Kyle: Watch it dawg...that's my cousin! Armani starts to laugh. Kyle opens the door and is surprised to find Stasha standing on the other side.... ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 2 Continued.. Mona: Jay, huh? Hmm.... Romona: When I get the rest of his info, I'll let you know. Mona: Yes, please do. You think he knew Dr. M already? Romona: I'm not sure. Not as far as I can tell. Although....he did seem to know Sean.... Mona: Really? You think he may know him? Romona: I couldn't really tell. Mona: Did he get the job? Romona: I think so. Dr. M seem pretty impressed.... Mona: That's not sayin' much. Romona and Mona start to laugh. Mona: Well keep me updated on that one. Romona: No problem. Mona: Oh yeah, thanks for the favor last month. Romona: What? Mona: You know...slippin' that approval form for the Alpha's into Sean's files. Romona: No problem...but dag girl, next time, give a sista a little more notice. I almost got caught! Mona: I know. I'm sorry about that. I had just found out, too. But don't worry, it will definitely play out into our favor in the long run. Romona: Oh yeah? How's that? Mona: Let's just say the Alpha's owe me big and they know it.....and sooner or later, hopefully sooner...I'll definitely be cashing in on that.... ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 3 Continued.. The doorbell rings... Armani: You expectin' anybody else to come through? Kyle: Nah...oh it might be Tee. She said she was gonna stop by to see me before I left. Armani: Oh okay. I hope it is your fine cousin... Kyle gets up to get the door. Kyle: Watch it dawg...that's my cousin! Armani starts to laugh. Kyle opens the door and is surprised to find Stasha standing on the other side.... Kyle (in surprise): Hey Stasha: Hi. Kyle: What are you doin' here? Stasha: I mean, I can leave... Kyle: No...no...please...come in. Stasha looks around. Stasha: I...I'm not stayin' long. Could you come out instead? Kyle: Um sure. Kyle turns around to yell to Armani and Sherrod Kyle: Yo dawgs....I'll be on the porch for a little bit. Kyle turns and follows Stasha and closes the door behind him. Stasha: I just came to say bye. I don't want to take you away from your frat brothers. Kyle: Well thanks for coming by. I really appreciate it. Stasha: I know that this is all so hard for you. Kyle: Stash....I'm so so sorry.....for everything.... Silence Kyle reaches out to grab Stasha's hand. Kyle: Stash... Stasha pulls away. Stasha: Kyle, don't. I....let's not ruin the moment, okay? I just wanted to come by before you left.... Kyle: Stash, I still love you. Stasha: Kyle, please.... Kyle: Stash, what I did was wrong and I'm so sorry. It's the biggest mistake I've ever made in my life and now I'm going to spend the rest of my life paying for it. Please Stash, I can't face this on my own....I need you...I need my friend... Stasha: I'll always be your friend, Kyle. As much as I don't want to be....I'll always be your friend. Kyle: Stash, I know you still love me. I see it on your face. Stasha: Kyle, I have to go. Like I said, I just wanted to say goodbye.... Stasha turns and starts to run down the front stairs. Kyle (yelling behind her): Stasha, wait! Don't go! Marry me! Stasha stops in her tracks and turns around. Stasha: Wha...what did you say? Kyle: I...I said..... Kyle walks down the stairs and stops in front of Stasha. He drops down to one knee and takes her by the hand. Kyle: Stasha, please...I love you....I'm so sorry for all of the mistakes I've made with you. But I swear if you just give me the chance, I will spend the rest of my life making it up to you. I love you Stasha....please...will you marry me?
