Season 2 - Episode 34 We resume our episode this week at the home of Kashawn, where he and Taylor are talking and there is a knock on the door. Taylor: Oh good grief! Who the heck is that? I am so not in the mood for company! Taylor walks up behind Kashawn Taylor: Laci, what are you doin' here? Laci: I'm here to see you. Taylor: For what? Laci: I want to talk. Taylor: We have nothin' to talk about. Laci: Taylor, please....I hate how things went down earlier. We used to be closer than sisters. Taylor: Yeah, like you said....used to be.... Laci: Taylor.... Taylor: What do you want, Laci? You're wasting my time. Laci: Please, Taylor. It will only take a few minutes.....it's important.... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Over at another location, the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta are celebrating the initiation of their new members.... Everyone: Zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Phi! Joi: Whoa....Krys.... Krystalyn: Like I said....that's all I have to say about that. Krystalyn turns and walks off into the other direction before Joi can respond. Leah: Soror Joi, what are you doin' over there by yourself? Joi: Oh um....you know....just takin' it all in. Leah: Well come take it in with your sands! Joi smiles at hearing that. Joi: Okay. Just give me a minute. I want to make a phone call first. Joi pulls out her cell phone and begins to dial. Joi: Hey. It's me. Guess what? It's done. Yep. It's official. I'm a Zeta! Can you come see me? ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 1 Continued.. Laci: Taylor.... Taylor: What do you want, Laci? You're wasting my time. Laci: Please, Taylor. It will only take a few minutes.....it's important.... Taylor closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. Taylor: Fine. But make it quick. Laci: Can I come in? Taylor: I'll come out. Taylor turns to Kashawn. Taylor: Baby, I'll be right back. This should only take a minute. Kashawn: Are you sure? Taylor: Yeah, I'm sure. Kashawn leans in to kiss Taylor before she turns and follows Laci out to the hall. Taylor: What is it? Laci: I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. Taylor: For what? Laci: For everything. I hate the way things are between us. We should have never let a man come in between our bond. Taylor: Um, I wasn't the one who was in the wrong. Laci: I know, I know. And I'm sorry. I was wrong to date Kashawn without checking with you first. Silence Laci: Listen, Taylor, I know things probably won't ever be the same between us....but.....I just don't want there to be any issues. You're my girl. Will you at least accept my apology? Taylor: I guess..... Laci: That's a start..... Silence Taylor: Is that it? Laci: Yeah, I guess so. I'll call you over the weekend, ok? Taylor: Yeah, sure. Later. Taylor turns and goes back into the apartment. Laci starts to walk toward her car and pulls out her phone. She dials a number..... Laci: Hello? Hey.....yeah I'm leaving now. She definitely fell for it. Trust me.....just give me a few weeks and we'll have Taylor right where we want her.... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Over at the Omega House, Stasha and Kyle are interrupted by Karissa's impromptu visit... From the top of the stairs, Stasha’s voice is heard. Stasha: What is she doing here? Silence Karissa: Excuse me....did you say husband? Stasha: Well yes. Yes, I did. Not that it's any of your business...but.... Karissa (yelling): I can't believe this! Kyle: Karissa, keep your voice down. Karissa (to Kyle): How could you marry her? What does she have that I don't? Stasha: Excuse me! Get away from her right now, Karissa! You will be so sorry if you don't! Kyle: You are sick, Karissa. Really, really sick..... Karissa starts to cry hysterically before turning to run away from the house.... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 2 Continued... The Zeta's are continuing to celebrate, just as the men of Phi Beta Sigma arrive.... Marcellus: Blu-Phi! Patrick: You know! Donnell: Congrats, sorors! Sy'Mone: The new sorors made up a greeting for you, brothers! Marcellus: That's what's up! We will make sure we hear it before we go. Patrick walks over to Krystalyn and Laray, while everyone else starts to mingle. Patrick: What's up sorors. Laray: Hey what's up Pat. Laray leans in to give Patrick a hug. Krystalyn: Hey. Patrick: Wow. That's it? Krystalyn: What more do you want? Seriously, Patrick, let's not play this game, okay? You already know where I stand so there's no need to try and play nice with me because we're at a frat/soror event. You go your way and I'll go mine. As a matter of fact, your little plaything is a soror now. I'm sure you want to congratulate her. Please don't let me stop you.... Patrick stands there in silence and then looks over at Laray for help. Laray quickly looks away before Patrick walks away. He walks over to Joi, who seems to be apart from the rest of the crowd. Patrick: Welcome to the family, soror. Joi looks up and is surprised to see Patrick. Joi: Oh um, thanks. Patrick: You don't seem very excited. Joi: I am. Just....still shocked, I guess... Patrick: Oh. Yeah....it takes a minute for it to all sink in. Joi: So how have you been? Patrick: Good. I been real good. You? Joi: Okay. Just tired. You know how it is... Patrick: Yeah. Joi: Between school, pledging, and the bab.... Joi stops herself and looks up to see Patrick's reaction. Joi: Well anyway, I'm tired. Patrick: Well you look great. Joi: So do you.... Patrick and Joi share a long, silent glance before Patrick begins to speak. Patrick: Well anyway, congrats again. Joi: Thanks, Pat. I really appreciate it. Patrick: Hug? Joi: Sure! Patrick leans down and pulls Joi into a tight, intimate embrace. "What is going on here?" Patrick and Joi turn around to find Jovan standing there holding a bag full of Zeta Phi Beta paraphernalia..... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Scene 3 Continued... Over in the dorm, Karissa is in her room alone, still upset by the events of the evening. Karissa thinks: I can't believe her married her! What about me? Just then, there is a knock on the door. She gets up and opens the door to find her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Shakir standing on the other side. Karissa: There you are. I'm so glad you could come over. Karissa flings herself into Shakir's arms for a hug. Shakir: I was surprised you called. Karissa: Really? Shakir:: Well yeah. I haven't heard from you in awhile. And the last time we spoke, it wasn't very pleasant. Karissa: I'm sorry. I guess I was just upset. Shakir: Oh yeah. You were definitely pretty pissed off at me. Karissa: Shakir, I'm just tired of all those other girls. Shakir: Hmm. Karissa: Oh Shakir,, I've had just the most awful day! Shakir: Really? Karissa: Yes. I really need you. Shakir: That's cool. I'm actually glad you called me. Karissa:You were? Shakir: Yep. I had an interesting day too. Wanna hear about it? Karissa: Um, sure.... Shakir: Well I was in my Biology class earlier and I overheard these two guys in front of me talking about the football player Kyle and how he was leaving for the semester. Then they started talkin' about a goin' away party he had and how the white dude on the football team started tripping out and grabbed the mic and basically told everybody in the party that Kyle was HIV positive! Karissa starts to look at Shakir with a semi fearful expression and curiosity as to where he is going with this... Shakir: Then he said that Jeff was hollering about how it was messed up that Kyle had gotten HIV from some hoe. And I was thinking....wow....that is really jacked up. You know I really love my baby, Karissa. And that could have been us. I'm really gonna straighten up and change my ways. As a matter of fact, I was thinking how I should go get you an engagement ring this weekend, so we can just start over completely.... Karissa (excited): Really, baby? A ring? Shakir: Wait. Let me finish. So then, the other friend asks....well who did he get it from? Silence Shakir: Anything you want to say, sweetie? Karissa: What do you mean? Shakir: Oh okay. You're going to play that game? So yeah....imagine my surprise when he answered his friend Karissa....yeah you know....the one with all the junk in her trunk...yeah the SGRho...... Silence Karissa: Shakir...I....I.... Shakir gets up and walks over to where Karissa is and before she can finish her sentence, he puts his hand around her neck and begins to choke her...
