About the Show AS THE SANDS BURN is an online soap opera focusing on the day-to-day drama of Black Greek life at Ahpla University. Previously launching in 1998 by creator and original writer, Darrius Jerome Gourdine, ATSB became a nationwide hit among Black Greeks who could relate to the stories of our beloved characters. ATSB was featured on several websites including BET.com. ATSB ended in 2006 and after a 2 year hiatus, we are proud to have it finally return.
